He's just talking now about how important it is to have those coffees with the head of ICT. Uh ... hmm. Craig - you feel like a coffee?
Branding in a way that people relate to helps. BBC called their eLearning portal 'Gateway'. This certainly creates a positive impression of what you will get if you go that way.
Another strategy he has used is to 'hide' little rewards in the materials, such as DVDs and book vouchers. He said that people FLOCKED to do them.
He also got people like the CEO to do courses and then write an email to everyone saying that he had done it, and that he hoped the 40% of people who hadn't done it already would do so soon. This got results! I like this idea. I wonder if Joe would do an intro to VC3 course? Or join in Facilitate eLearning? This would be great!
